Thursday morning: "Hey Mike. How are you today?" "WHAT?" I said "How ya doin'?" "HUH?" "How are......forget it. Thursday night: "Hey Mike. What's up?" "WHAT?" "Can you unload that truck?" "HUH?" "Unload that truck over there." "WHAT?" I said unlo....what are you freakin' deaf?" HeHeHe(Nods and grins ear to ear)

I had earned this achievement award at Walmart, where I unload trucks at night, which entitled me to a night off, with pay. Hmmm. This is a good question. If you had a night off ,with pay, how would you spend it? I have such little free time, I certainly have to think of a way to spend it wisely. There is nothing worse than letting precious, free time go to waste. Especially, when you're getting paid for it. Let's see...How would I spend a night off with pay? Hmmm. Well, being The Heavy Metal Thundergod, I would pick up my best friend and take in a performance of Rock 'N Roll. I thought March 9th would be a good night to cash in my award, pick up my best friend and assistant photographer Donna, and head to The Starland Ballroom to see...Motorhead. When I picked up Donna and started down to the club, you could just tell that it was going to be one of those nights where you just have a sh*tload of fun. It was in the air. Donna brought a Motorhead cd for the ride down and we were just grinning the whole ride. When you go see Motorhead, you don't need any cd's for the ride home.

We walked in the club and yeah, you could feel it in the air. Shiiiiaatt yeah!! Brand New Sin was finishing their set and we got up front for their last song. It kicked butt! We looked at each other. Grinning. We would stay up here for the rest of the evening. The band, Zeke, was on next. I didn't know too much about them, but I know now that they are one of the fastest bands I've ever seen in 25 years in the pit! They were blazing! They wrecked my freakin' neck! I singed a hole in the right front thigh of my jeans playing air guitar with Zeke's friggin' guitarist! This guy was blazin'! Good thing I had already begun sweating through my clothes or I would have torched right there on the dance floor. Spontaneous combustion, man. Whoof! These guys were totally awesome! Zeke. Freakin' blazing!! I was never much of a Corrosion of Conformity fan, but live, on a night like this, I was still psyched to see them. They have alot of songs that you've heard before, but never knew it was C.O.C. Like "Happens all the Time." They were good. They did some new stuff from their forthcoming cd which I thought was their best stuff. So, if you're a C.O.C. fan, you're gonna love the new cd. It rocks! Me and Donna got seperated, but I saw her to my right, up against the rail, right below where Lemmy's mic was set up. Grinning. Ear to ear. She looked over at me and I nodded towards the mic stand and mouthed the word "L.E.M.M.Y." We were four feet away from a living legend.

I have no words to describe the way I felt when the Man walked out onto the stage. If you've been around as long as Tgod has and are a Motorhead fan, then I need none. If you're a little younger, then you'll just have to use your imagination. As a matter of fact, there were alot of Jersey kids out. Damn good to see. Half the place was teenagers out to see Motorhead. Alongside us slightly older....kids. When the thunderous "Motor-Head" chant died down, Lemmy says in his infamous British drawl, "We are Motah-Head. And we play Rock 'N Roll." I'll never forget that. Then, they kicked into "Doctor Rock." They pounded us with "Metropolis." They tore the roof off with "Over the Top." They're all living legends. Phil, Mickey Dee and Lemmy. They did a tribute to some fallen legends of the past few years. Dime, Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee. They hailed The Ramones as the greatest Rock 'N Roll band of all time. If you know Tgod, and I hope you're all getting to, then you know I agree and can imagine how I felt as Motorhead completely tore the pit apart with the cover of "R.A.M.O.N.E.S." I was chilled to the spine, even though the pit I was in was now a dripping sweat frenzy!! After an hour and a half, Lemmy states that they were going to play their last song and pretend to walk off the stage and everyone will then chant their name and they will come back out for a few more. They play and walk off. We roar and chant. They return for one of the coolest, bad ass encores I've ever seen. A bass-less Lemmy at the mic. Flanked by Mickey on his left and Phil on his right with acoustic guitars, cigarette in his hand. Singing the blues. "Whorehouse Blues" to be exact. He is the definition of the word 'cool.' Lemmy, dressed in black, singing the British blues. Cooler than Clint Eastwood in "Hang 'em High."(Now that's freakin' cool). Then he whips out the harmonica!! I have no words cool enough. He is THE man! We have just enough time to catch a little breath when he straps back on the Rickenbacker and demolishes what's left of us with "Ace of Spades." Had Mickey not fell ill after this song, they would have finished us off with "Orgasmatron," but there was no disappointment. Legends do not disappoint.

I was happy. I was satisfied. I had spent my precious free time wisely, which keeps me going till the next. And got paid for it! One day, when my dream comes true, I'll get paid for doing this with my free time, ALL THE TIME!
