You've got to be a polar bear not to know Bathory! This one-man Swedish legend influenced countless bands of different styles all over the world. In fact, Bathory is responsible for Black Metal as we know it now (I know, I know, there was Venom before that! But, in all honesty, who REALLY knows and likes Venom? As for Celtic Frost, that is more like deathdoom...) And, as if that was not enough, its later albums brought us the "Viking Style", the "Nordic Metal", you name it. For our purposes, however, only these middle-period albums are suitable...
